KLIEVER, John Henry



John Henry Kliewer

1895 – 1978

A former resident of Yarrow, John Henry Kliewer, died June 3, 1978 in the MSA General Hospital in Abbotsford.

Rev. Dave Friesen officiated at the funeral service for Mr. Kliewer held in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Abbotsford.

Mr. Kliewer was born in Russia on April 30th, 1895. He moved to Yarrow in 1936 and farmed there on Wilson Road until moving to Abbotsford in 1969 where he retired. He lived at 31944 Sunrise Crescent at the time of his death.

Mr. Kliewer is survived by two sons, John of Chilliwack and Victor Donald of Coquitlam; two daughters: Mary Ann (David) Bennett of Burnaby and Elsie (Alvin) Wiens of Chilliwack, 13 grandchildren; four brothers: Henry of Clearbrook, Frank, Jake and David all of Manitoba; two sisters: Anne and Elsie both of Manitoba.

He was predeceased by his wife Sara and by one daughter, Lydia.

Pallbearers at the service were: Vic Kliever, Jack Kliever, Gordon Kliever, Dan Kliever, David Bennett and Alvin Wiens.

Burial took place at Hazelwood Mennonite Cemetery.
